Location: Phoenix, AZ

Setting: Onsite (Flexible schedule, come in early, leave early)

Compensation: $55k – $70k base salary/annually

Title: Cost Accountant

POSITION SUMMARY:

Our Cost Accountant is responsible for ensuring proper accounting of the job costs incurred during the construction process and assisting the Project Managers and Controller by providing accurate and timely information relevant to the decision-making process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintaining accurate and organized job files such that any job cost information is obtainable even in their absence.
  • Match and enter weekly labor costs for the jobs or work orders assigned to them.
  • Process all accounts payable invoices for the jobs assigned.
  • Match all invoices to packing slips and purchase orders issued by the jobs Project Manager
  • Enter approved invoices into accounting system.
  • Ensure that all material is properly costed to correct jobs.
  • Invoice all jobs in a timely manner with the assistance of the Project Manager
  • Assist a schedule of values and enter in accounting system.
  • Prepare invoices and supporting documentation.
  • Obtain all necessary lien releases.
  • Perform all collection processes.
  • Responsible for all reports or supporting documentation requested for each assigned jobs for each Project Manager, Controller or Officers

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, etc., Spectrum experience preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical mindset
  • High degree of creativity, flexibility, and resourcefulness
  • Demonstrated ability to be initiative-taking, and an effective collaborator.
  • Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance.
  • Must be able to pass Federal/State/City Background check. Pre-Employment and Random Drug Test Compliance

Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
