We are currently hiring an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team at a small, rural hospital in Mab, Illinois. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who thrives in a collaborative hospital setting and is passionate about providing high-quality patient care in a critical access environment.

Position Highlights:

  • Location: Mab, IL a weling munity with a close-knit hospital team

  • Facility Size: 25-bed hospital providing acute inpatient services to the local population

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks with strong potential for extension based on performance and facility needs

  • Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, with flexible shifts: 8:00 AM4:30 PM or 10:30 AM7:00 PM

  • Possible weekend rotation to ensure prehensive pharmacy coverage

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical and distributive pharmacy services to inpatient units

  • Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, interactions, and appropriate dosing

  • Prepare and dispense IV and unit-dose medications following hospital protocols and safety standards

  • Consult with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff on optimal drug therapy and patient care plans

  • Participate in monitoring of nutritional support and pharmacokinetic dosing as needed

  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure pliance with hospital policies and state/federal regulations

Required Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted Illinois Pharmacist License

  • Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient/hospital pharmacy experience

  • Strong knowledge of IV therapy, nutritional support, and pharmacokinetics highly preferred

  • Excellent munication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
