Job Description
The Burn Table Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining CNC equipment in a safe and efficient manner to meet the company's quality and production standards. This role involves operating multi-head Plasma/Oxy-Fuel ESAB Burn Table, Bevel Table, Bystronic Laser Table, Break Press Table, and occasionally driving as a Material Handler. The position requires collaboration with fabrication, assembly, material handling, and the machine shop, as well as the planning and engineering departments.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain CNC equipment including Plasma/Oxy-Fuel ESAB Burn Table, Bevel Table, Bystronic Laser Table, and Break Press Table.
- Mechanical and technical adjustments for machine set-ups, product changeovers, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with fabrication, assembly, material handling, and the machine shop.
- Work closely with planning and engineering departments.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Essential Skills
- Experience in operating burn tables and/or CNC machines.
- HMI usage.
- Metal fabrication knowledge and/or experience.
- Proficiency in using a laser, plasma torch, and tape measure.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Minimum of 2 years in a heavy equipment/manufacturing environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Preferred experience of 2 years with CNC machines.

Work Environment
Work in a machine shop environment with a choice between night shifts from 6pm-4:30am Monday to Friday, or 12-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday, avoiding work on Fridays. A shift premium is offered for night shifts.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ooltewah, Tennessee.
Pay: $23.18/hr BASE RATE, PLUS $1.75/hr differential for 3rd shift, so $24.93/hr
Shift/Schedule: 3rd- 6:00pm to 4:30am Mon-Fri OR you can do 12-hr shifts Mon-Thu if you'd like
Weekly hours: about 50
