RAC has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Pricing Analyst to join our Consumer Pricing & Value team. This role offers significant opportunity to influence pricing decisions across RAC’s largest P&L, helping to shape acquisition and retention performance, profitability and customer outcomes. Working alongside experienced pricing specialists and technical pricing leaders, you’ll use expert analysis, market insight and innovation to support best‑in‑class pricing practices. This is a hands‑on analytical role where your work directly supports real commercial decisions from modelling and optimisation through to forecasting and governance.

What You’ll Do
- Pricing, Insight & Modelling
- Support delivery of Consumer pricing strategy and initiatives, driving trading performance and profitability.
- Build and enhance pricing models to predict customer behaviour such as propensity to buy, cancel or claim.
- Use statistical modelling tools (e.g. Emblem, Python) to improve model performance and predictiveness.
- Analyse price trials and competitor pricing data to support pricing optimisation.
- Develop forecasting models and clearly explain weekly and annual variance versus forecast.
- Data, Validation & Optimisation
- Reconcile, validate and prepare datasets to ensure pricing analysis and modelling inputs are robust.
- Explore new data sources, modelling techniques and analytical tools to enhance pricing insight.
- Monitor pricing model performance over time and recommend corrective action where required.
- Support optimisation activity using behavioural models, pricing data and market insight.
- Governance, Regulation & Collaboration
- Ensure all pricing activity aligns with FCA regulatory guidance.
- Adhere to governance and pricing sign‑off processes.
- Work closely with Acquisition and Retention Squads, Pricing, Finance, Marketing and Insights teams.
- Build strong working relationships with compliance colleagues to ensure pricing remains fair and compliant.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in pricing, analytics or a relevant field such as Insurance, Banking or Finance, or a strong academic focus.
- Solid understanding of pricing and analytical techniques including GLMs / GBMs.
- Highly numerate with strong analytical and problem‑solving capability.
- Experience using SQL, Snowflake or SAS.
- Experience with visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience with statistical modelling software (Emblem, Radar, R or Python) advantageous.
- Exposure to optimisation tools (Radar Optimiser, Earnix) beneficial but not essential.

This role follows a hybrid model, with required office attendance in our Bradley Stoke, Bristol office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Salary aligned with market and experience, plus a conditional annual bonus.
