About The Role

RAC has an exciting opportunity for a Regional Technical Trainer to join our expanding Training team! You will be responsible for analysis, delivering and developing technical training, including support with induction training for all our Roadside Technicians. This will entail designing learning events to progress and develop their technical and performance competence. You will predominately be located within the South East region; however, support on a national level will be required.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and deliver all associated training at national/regional venues.
  • Ensure agreed number of training days are delivered so that department and business objectives are met.
  • Assess and train Roadside Technicians to the highest quality in accordance with brand requirements and KPIs, including legal & compliance training such as CPC.
  • Manage the performance and development of circa 250 Technicians within your region and support nationally where required.

Role Requirements

  • Essential qualifications in training in the motor industry are required, including IPD, Cert ED and C&G (You will be required to attain these if not already achieved).
  • Excellent technical automotive diagnostic skills, comprehensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical and EV systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturer products and industry training methods and analytical skills to identify key performance trends and implement resulting action training.
  • Excellent technical knowledge within the automotive industry (Trained to master technician level preferred).
  • IT literate in current software programmes (Typically Microsoft and LMS packages).
