This is a key role in the RAC’s Governance, Risk and Compliance team, sitting in the second line of defence. You’ll work closely with marketing, product and commercial teams, supporting how campaigns, offers and promotions go to market. A big part of the role is reviewing promotional activity against advertising standards and regulatory expectations. It’s hands‑on, fast paced and highly visible across the business. You’ll partner across two key areas, giving clear, practical advice while providing independent challenge where it matters. You’ll build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor while staying objective and impartial in your approach. If you’ve worked in compliance or a regulated marketing environment and understand how promotions need to operate, this is a great opportunity to make an impact.

- Ensure all communications are fair, clear and not misleading
- Support governance forums, product discussions and change initiatives
- Act as a key contact for compliance queries, incidents and breaches
- Maintain oversight of product governance across manufacture and distribution
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders while offering independent challenge
What you’ll need
- Experience in compliance or working within a regulated marketing environment
- Strong understanding of advertising standards and financial promotion rules (including non‑FCA where relevant)
- Experience in a regulated sector such as insurance, financial services or similar
- Confidence influencing marketing and commercial stakeholders
- Strong communication skills with the ability to give clear, pragmatic advice
