About the Role

Join the RAC as a SuperFlex Roadside Mechanic. You’ll provide the adaptability our service relies on, working across the Brighton cluster (Brighton & Hove, Worthing, Shoreham‑by‑Sea, Lancing, Arundel, Lewes, Newhaven, Burgess Hill) to get members back on the road. Shifts run between 06:00 and 02:00, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays, with an average of 40 hours per week and a roster released seven days in advance.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair vehicle faults on the roadside.
  • Provide customer‑focused assistance and maintain a positive brand image.
  • Manage your own kit, keep the van stocked, and handle incident reports accurately.
  • Work flexibly on short notice, including overnight stays as required.

Qualifications

  • A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with technical, electrical and diagnostic experience.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Flexibility to work at short notice and travel as necessary.
