Job Description
A growing company located in North Houston is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Billing Clerk on a contract-to-hire basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with both numbers and people. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, process, and send customer invoices in a timely manner
- Update and maintain customer files with accurate billing information
- Communicate with clients to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies
- Collaborate with internal departments (Finance, Sales, Operations) to verify billing accuracy
- Maintain client billing systems and run associated reports as needed
- Reconcile account discrepancies and escalate issues as appropriate
- Monitor and ensure timely invoicing for all designated accounts per KPI standards
- Provide support to accounts receivable processes when required
- Reach out to Operations Managers, General Managers, or Account Managers to resolve issues
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the Billing Manager
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in billing, invoicing, or a related accounting support role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service focus
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Prior experience in logistics billing is a plus
