Job Title: Avionics Technician

Job Description

As an Avionics Technician, you will play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced avionics systems in various aircraft. You will work under limited direction to ensure the functionality and reliability of avionics components and systems.

Pay range between $30 and $50/hour.

$30 – Military avionics experience only/ 1 to 2 years of Avionics Install/mod experience

$50 – 10+ years corporate Jet/GA Avionics MOD/Install experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform removal and installation of avionics components.
  • Fabricate wire harnesses and perform avionics system installations.
  • Make wire terminations and conduct wiring ring-outs.
  • Perform functional tests of avionics systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex avionics and Cabin Management Systems (CMS) with minimal error, with a heavy emphasis on installation.

Essential Skills

  • At least 2 years of experience in avionics modification and installation work.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and testing avionics systems.
  • Familiarity with avionics electrical systems and avionics system testing software.
  • Proficiency in Avionic Installation, Garmin, Honeywell, and Collins systems preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • A&P certification is nice to have, but not required.
  • Experience with upgrades and modifications beyond basic parts swapping.

Work Environment

You will be working on the first shift from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in a well-lit, temperature-controlled facility located in the Signature Flight hangar in Columbus. The team consists of about 15 technicians and management personnel, with 4 dedicated members in the Avionics Department. The facility is equipped to handle a variety of aircraft including Gulfstream II, III, IV, V, Bombardier, LearJet 30, 40, or 60 series, and Challenger 601, 604, 605.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 – $35.00/hr.
