Job Description
Gojob is hiring On-site Casualty Adjusters for an auto insurance company located in Franklin, TN to proactively investigate coverage, liability and damages.
You will be responsible for investigating complex automobile insurance claims to assess coverage and liability, gathering necessary information by corresponding with attorneys, medical professionals, agents, police, witnesses, and claimants, negotiating injury settlements directly with claimants or their attorneys and handling claims to conclusion, including rare instances involving litigation.
Salary: $72,000 – $75,000
Responsibilities:
- Claim Handling (20%): Evaluate medical documentation to settle or deny claims. Set and reassess reserves.
- Quality Assurance (25%): Maintain high-quality work based on objective measurements, evaluation of work will be conducted through audits and management reviews.
- Accountability (20%): Compare individual results against historical and peer benchmarks.
- Teamwork (20%): Support teammates and contribute to meeting BI/UMBI payment for the Casualty and Litigation Units metrics.
- Expertise & Professionalism (15%): Stay updated on state-specific laws, present high-value claims (over $10k) to the Claims Committee, and ensure thorough file documentation.
Qualifications:
- Education: College degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 2+ years in bodily injury claims; 3+ years as a casualty adjuster, including Non-Standard experience
- Skills: Proficient in administrative tasks, computer use, negotiation, and organization. Strong problem-solving, communication, and multitasking abilities with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge: Expertise in tort laws, Department of Insurance regulations, and Fair Claims Practice Act. Proven Senior Claims Adjuster experience.
