Associate Director of Electrical Engineering
Position Overview
The Associate Director of Electrical Engineering will lead and manage a team of engineers in the design, development, and implementation of advanced electrical systems and technologies. This role focuses on driving innovation and ensuring the successful execution of projects within the electrical engineering domain, with a strong emphasis on renewable energy solutions and system optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers in various projects.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
- Oversee the design and development of electrical systems including circuit design and power systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate embedded systems and control systems into products.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for all engineering processes and projects.
- Utilize software tools such as Matlab and Simulink for simulation and modeling tasks.
- Drive initiatives in renewable energy technologies and innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in electrical engineering roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
- PE Required w/ ability to be licensed by comity in other states
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in circuit design, power systems, and RF design.
- Experience with embedded systems and control systems.
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes and technical documentation standards.
- Competence in using Matlab, Simulink, and signal processing tools.
- Proven track record in team leadership and managing engineering projects.
