Assembly Technician | 2nd & 3rd shift available | Coopersville, MI

Job Description

Join our dynamic team in Coopersville, where we specialize in producing smaller internal car parts, strip lights for trucks, and center navigation screens for vehicles. As an Assembly Technician, you will work under the direction of the shift supervisor, focusing on the preparation and inspection of electronic, electro-mechanical, and wiring components. Your role will include light mechanical testing, operating automated tester machines, handling solenoids, and packaging tested items. You will ensure adherence to process sheets, maintain production standards, and clean your workstation after each shift.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and inspect electronic and electro-mechanical components.
  • Conduct light mechanical testing of parts.
  • Operate automated tester machines.
  • Handle and package solenoids after testing.
  • Utilize process sheets effectively.
  • Maintain production standards.
  • Clean up workstation at the end of each shift.

Work Environment

Employees will work in a temperature-controlled, clean manufacturing environment. The facility is equipped with high-speed machines and requires long pants, closed-toe non-slip shoes, shirts with sleeves, and smocks provided by the company. Safety glasses and gloves will be supplied as needed. Employees can wear one earbud but must refrain from using cell phones or cameras on the floor. Lockers are available for personal belongings, and a lunchroom with refrigerators is accessible for food storage. Security is present during all three shifts, ensuring a safe workplace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coopersville, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 – $17.00/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
