As a Roadside Technician with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years’ post‑qualification experience, you’ll provide expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the United Kingdom. You’ll work from home, tackling diverse roadside challenges and delivering quick, confident solutions while maintaining a high standard of member service.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair vehicle faults on the roadside, including battery issues, tyre changes, and complex fault‑finding tasks.
  • Provide emergency breakdown support and ensure members receive timely assistance and reassurance.
  • Maintain and inspect risk vehicles, tools, and diagnostic kits, ensuring all equipment is in safe and functional condition.
  • Document all work performed and update the RAC system with detailed notes on repairs and parts used.
  • Collaborate with dispatch and support teams to coordinate call‑outs and share information on roadside incidents.
  • Demonstrate strong customer‑focused communication skills, acting as a proud ambassador for the RAC.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of post‑qualification experience in technical, electrical, and diagnostic roles.
