You’ll be part of the Northampton cluster, covering areas like Northampton, Kettering, Corby, Wellingborough, Daventry, Towcester, Rushden. You’ll work through a clearly planned schedule of appointments – no reactive callouts, just organised, pre‑booked work where you can focus on doing the job properly. From day one you’ll have everything you need: a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, full tool set and advanced diagnostics. You’ll use your technical skill and problem‑solving ability to get people moving again – safely, quickly and confidently.
What You’ll Do
- Perform routine servicing.
- Conduct diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
- Carry out in‑depth repairs normally completed in a workshop.
- Give member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
- Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
Qualifications
- Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
