As a Roadside Technician within our Patrol division, you’ll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. Whether it’s a flat battery, tyre change, or complex fault‑finding, you’ll provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when our members need it most.

You’ll start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head‑on and making a real impact on the roadside – combining your technical expertise with outstanding member service. We’ll provide a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit.

Qualifications
  • Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years’ post‑qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Customer‑focused approach and strong problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and think on your feet
Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical repairs and diagnostics on roadside vehicles.
  • Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
  • Handle a variety of tasks such as battery replacement, tyre changes, and fault finding.
  • Deliver outstanding member service and reassurance during roadside incidents.
  • Work demand‑led shifts averaging 40 hours per week, with optional overtime.
  • Use your own RAC van and tools to complete call‑outs efficiently.
