Competitive salary: £50,669 basic salary, with the opportunity to earn up to £57,000.
Weekly variety: You’ll work the average of 40 hours per week across the year, receiving your roster seven days in advance with your core working hours confirmed three days prior. Thrive outside of 9‑5: Shifts will fall between 06:00 and 02:00, and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Where you’ll work: You’ll be part of the Warrington cluster, covering areas such as Warrington, Widnes, Runcorn, Newton‑le‑Willows, Leigh, Golborne, and Ashton‑in‑Makerfield. We organise work locally so you can start and finish at home, focusing your day on getting members back on the road in your local area.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicle faults on the roadside.
- Provide rapid response service at short notice and travel as required.
- Manage your own toolkit, keep your van stocked, and handle reports with precision.
- Make decisions on the spot to support members and keep everyone moving.
- Promote and embody the RAC brand, showing professionalism and calm under pressure.
Qualifications
- A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with demonstrative technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
- A customer‑focused approach.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Flexibility to work at relatively short notice and open to travel with overnight stays, if necessary.
