Join the RAC. Together we are going places. A competitive base salary of £38,625, with on-target earnings of up to £50,000. A guaranteed overtime option increases your base salary to £44,385, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities. 40 hours per week, core hours 8:30am-5:00pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays.

As a RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division you will bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks you will deliver first-class service without the constraints of a traditional garage. We will equip you for success from day one – your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools and diagnostic kit all provided. Here’s what we’re after:

  • You get people. Mechanics are out there on driveways, chatting with customers, giving advice and representing the RAC with pride.
  • You like mixing things up. Every day is a little different – servicing, diagnostics, repairs and checks.
  • You manage stock, do reporting and keep conversations flowing.
  • You think on your feet – trusted to make the right call for each customer.

What you’ll need:

  • Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
  • At least 3 years’ hands-on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
  • A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

  • Full-time 40-hour week with Monday-Saturday availability (8am-8pm).
