Our Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division delivers planned, structured repair and servicing directly to members, from their driveway to their workplace car park. Working in SMR means working through a scheduled list of jobs with the time, tools and support you need to deliver quality work.
What to Expect
Your day begins with a clear digital schedule. Each job is pre-booked, with the member expecting you. You'll:
- Perform routine servicing
- Conduct diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
- Carry out in depth repairs you would normally complete in a workshop
- Provide member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
- Execute vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
From day one you have a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, full tool set and advanced diagnostics. You use your technical skill and problem solving ability to get people moving again safely, quickly and confidently.
Qualifications
- Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
