Overview
Flexibility deserves recognition – and we deliver. As a Superflex Patrol Roadside Mechanic, you\’ll provide the adaptability our service relies on.
We equip you for success from day one with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit all provided.
Responsibilities
- Work the on average 40 hours per week across the year, with a roster seven days in advance and core working hours confirmed three days prior.
- Respond to roadside calls, diagnose faults, and determine the right fix on a range of scenarios.
- Handle faults such as flat tyres or flat batteries and adapt to a variety of tasks; no two jobs are the same.
- Manage your own kit, keep your van stocked, and complete reports with precision.
- Read situations, make informed calls, support members, and keep everyone moving; be an ambassador for the RAC.
- Maintain calm under pressure, connect with customers, and showcase the RAC difference on every call-out.
Qualifications
- A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with demonstrative technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
- A customer-focused approach
- A full UK driving licence
- Flexibility to work at relatively short notice and open to travel with overnight stays, if necessary
