Join the RAC as a Superflex Roadside Mechanic
Flexibility deserves recognition – and we deliver. As a Superflex Patrol Roadside Mechanic, you’ll provide the adaptability our service relies on.
Responsibilities
- Provide roadside assistance to RAC members, diagnosing and repairing on-site when possible
- Manage your own toolkit and keep your RAC van stocked; complete reports with accuracy
- Embrace a dynamic, varied workload with fault diagnostics, tyre changes, battery fixes, and more
- Deliver calm, professional service on the roadside or at other locations as required
What you’ll get
- Competitive base salary: £53,720 per year (incl. London Weighting where applicable), with potential to earn up to £58,000
- Weekly variety: ~40 hours per week, roster published seven days in advance; core hours confirmed three days prior
- Flexible shifts: 06:00 – 02:00, may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays
- Company-provided RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit

What we’re looking for
- A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with demonstrable technical, electrical and diagnostic experience
- A customer-focused approach
- A full UK driving licence
- Flexibility to work on short notice and travel with overnight stays if necessary
