You're a Roadside Mechanic with RAC. You're a problem solver, a people person, and an ambassador for the RAC. Whether on a roadside or a quiet cul-de-sac, you're calm under pressure, quick to connect, and confident in your craft.
Responsibilities
- Manage your own kit, keep your van stocked, and handle your reports with precision.
- Read a situation and determine the right fix, supporting each member and keeping everyone moving.
- Make the call on faults, diagnose issues, and deliver appropriate repairs or assistance to reassure members.
- Provide high-quality service on roadside calls or in other locations as required, adapting to dynamic conditions.
- Be flexible to cover shifts between 06:00 and 02:00, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Qualifications
- A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with at least 2 years' post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
- A customer-focused approach.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Flexibility to work at relatively short notice and open to travel with overnight stays, if necessary.
