Role
You will work as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in the RAC SMR (Service, Maintenance & Repair) division, covering the Coventry cluster: Coventry, Nuneaton, Bedworth, Rugby, Kenilworth and Leamington Spa. The work is scheduled, pre‑booked appointments – no reactive callouts – allowing you to perform tasks efficiently while on the road.
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing.
- Perform diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
- Conduct in‑depth repairs normally completed in a workshop.
- Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
- Complete vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
- Work from a fully equipped RAC van, with fuel card, uniform, full tool set and advanced diagnostics.
Qualifications
- Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
