We’re looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Parts Advisor to support our fast-paced Service, Maintenance and Repair (SMR) Operation at our RAC Bescot office, Walsall. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business and work closely with a dynamic team of Vehicle Technicians and parts suppliers, ensuring we source the right components effectively to keep our customers on the road.
Responsibilities
- Support the SMR Contact Centre and Mobile Mechanics with vehicle parts-related queries
- Liaise with external suppliers to source parts quickly and at competitive prices
- Manage parts return processes, ensuring credits are received and van inventory is accurate
- Analyse parts cost and availability to support strategic planning
- Collaborate with analysts to build data-driven solutions to improve operations
- Monitor UK parts market trends to identify opportunities and risks
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with vehicle parts is essential — ideally within a motor factor or parts supplier environment
- You must have direct experience in helping customers identify and source the correct vehicle parts
- An understanding of parts catalogues, vehicle specifications, and the ability to match parts accurately
- Motor factor experience is highly desirable, especially where you’ve worked in a customer-facing role
- Commercially astute with a record of identifying value-driven decisions
- Excellent IT skills and the ability to work independently
- Strong organisational and communication skills
