As a Roadside Technician with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least two years’ post‑qualification technical, electrical and diagnostic experience, you’ll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head‑on and making a real impact on the roadside while combining technical expertise with outstanding member service.
Qualifications
- Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
- At least two years’ post‑qualification technical, electrical and diagnostic experience
- Customer‑focused approach
- Full UK driving licence
Key Responsibilities
- Provide quick, confident mechanical roadside repair, tyre changes and battery replacements.
- Diagnose and resolve complex faults across a range of light vehicles.
- Offer reassurance and advice to members during emergencies.
- Operate your own RAC van, fuel card, uniform, diagnostic kit and essential tools.
- Work demand‑led shifts averaging 40 hours per week with optional overtime.
