Join the RAC as a Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division. You’ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to customers, wherever they are — driveways, office car parks, and more — delivering first‑class service without the constraints of a traditional garage. You’ll be equipped from day one with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit to support independence, career progression, and work‑life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Be the face of the RAC, engaging with customers and representing the brand with professionalism on every driveway visit.
  • Perform servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and checks; manage stock, complete reporting, and maintain clear customer communications.
  • Think on your feet to determine the best solution for each customer, with varied fixes and daily challenges.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
  • At least 3 years' hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
  • A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Role Details

  • Location: Hemsby, Norfolk.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30am to 5pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays.
  • Salary: A competitive base salary of £38,625, with on‑target earnings up to £50,000. A guaranteed overtime option can raise base pay to £44,385, with additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
