Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician. As part of our Patrol division, you'll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. Whether it's a flat battery, tyre change, or complex fault-finding, you'll provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when our members need it most. You'll start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head-on and making a real impact on the roadside — combining your technical expertise with outstanding member service. You'll receive a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit to set you up for success from day one.
Responsibilities
- Deliver mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
- Perform fault diagnostics, tyre changes, battery replacements, and other roadside services as required.
- Use tools, technology, and support to provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members.
- Operate from home-based start and end points with appropriate equipment provided.
What you'll need
- A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent), with post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
- A customer-focused approach and strong communication skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
