Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division. You will work in a structured, planned mobile repair service covering the Bournemouth cluster, providing routine servicing, diagnostics, in‑depth workshop‑style repairs, and vehicle safety checks to members on the go.

Responsibilities

  • Pre‑booked appointments across the Bournemouth cluster: Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Wimborne, Ringwood, Wareham, Swanage.
  • Conduct routine servicing, advanced diagnostics, and in‑depth repairs normally performed in a workshop.
  • Provide member advice, recommendations, and safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
  • Work independently with a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tool set, and diagnostic equipment.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
  • A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
