Overview
- You\’re someone who gets people. This isn\’t just spanners and engines—our mechanics are out there on driveways, chatting with customers, giving advice, and representing the RAC with pride. - You like mixing things up. Every day\’s a little different—servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and checks. But it doesn\’t stop there: you\’ll manage your stock, do your reporting, and keep those customer conversations flowing.
- Swindon, Wiltshire – Up to £50k per annum. Full Time.
Responsibilities
- As an RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, you\’ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you\’ll deliver first-class service without the constraints of a traditional garage.
Qualifications
- Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
- At least 3 years\’ hands-on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

- A competitive base salary of £38,625, with on-target earnings of up to £50,000
- A guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary to £44,385, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities
- 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30am to 5:00pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays
