You like mixing things up. Every day's a little different—servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and checks. But it doesn't stop there: you'll manage your stock, do your reporting, and keep those customer conversations flowing.
You think on your feet. You'll be trusted to think on your feet and make the right call for each customer. Different fixes, different faces, new challenges every day.
Responsibilities- Deliver maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and checks for light vehicles at customers’ locations such as driveways and car parks.
- Manage stock and complete reporting; maintain clear, proactive communication with customers.
- Provide first-class service and represent the RAC with professionalism on every engagement.
- Apply problem-solving skills to determine appropriate fixes and decisions for varied situations.
- Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
- At least 3 years' hands-on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
- A competitive base salary of £38,625, with on-target earnings up to £55,000 (inclusive of London Weighting, if applicable).
- Guaranteed overtime; option to increase base salary to £44,385, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
- 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30am to 5pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays.
