As an RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair (SMR) division, you’ll bring your expert knowledge and problem‑solving skills directly to our members wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you’ll deliver first‑class service without the limitations of a traditional garage.
This role is perfect for you if you’re great with customers as well as cars. You’ll enjoy variety diagnosing, repairs, servicing, and checks and be confident making decisions on the spot. You’ll take pride in doing a quality job every time, delivering the complete peace of mind that comes from the RAC.
Pay and Hours
- £38,625 basic salary, with the opportunity to earn up to £53,000.
- Sociable hours: 40 per week, 8am–4:30pm, plus 1 in 4 Saturdays.

What We’re Looking For
- At least 3 years hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician on light vehicles.
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
- Great with customers and capable of making decisions on the spot.
