Leicester, Leicestershire - £40k (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance) + OTE of £60k. Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician. As a Roadside Technician within our Patrol division, you'll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You'll start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head-on and making a real impact on the roadside by combining technical expertise with outstanding member service. We provide the RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit.

Responsibilities- Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
- Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need it most.
- Start and finish your day at home and work with your own RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit provided.
- Diagnose faults, change tyres, jump-start vehicles, and handle a range of roadside scenarios with calm under pressure and clear communication.
- Think on your feet to determine the right call for each customer and job, with variety in every call-out.
- Collaborate with RAC support teams to ensure high-quality service and timely resolutions.
- A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent), with post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
- A customer-focused approach.
