Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division – a new era of mobile repair.

Location & Salary

Huddersfield, West Yorkshire – Up to £52,000 OTE. Full time, 40 hours per week. 1 in 4 Saturdays.

Responsibilities

  • Provide routine servicing.
  • Perform diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
  • Carry out in-depth repairs normally completed in a workshop.
  • Give member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
  • Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
  • Manage clear digital schedules and pre-booked appointments.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
  • A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent people skills – friendly, clear communication with members.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to varying tasks.
