Responsibilities
- You’re mixing things up. Every day’s a little different—servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and checks. You’ll manage your stock, do your reporting, and keep those customer conversations flowing.
- You think on your feet. You’ll be trusted to think on your feet and make the right call for each customer. Different fixes, different faces, new challenges every day.
As an RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, you’ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you’ll deliver first-class service without the constraints of a traditional garage. We’ll equip you for success from day one - with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit all provided. Think independence, career progression, and real work-life balance - with a 40-hour week that keeps you moving and out of the same four walls.
Qualifications
- Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
- At least 3 years’ hands-on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
Salary and Benefits
- A competitive base salary of £38,625, with on-target earnings of up to £50,000
- A guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary to £44,385, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities
- 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30am to 5pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays
- Earnings That Motivate - market-competitive base salary of £38,625, with the opportunity to increase earnings up to £50,000 through bonuses and premium-rate overtime.
- A Full time 40-hour week, with Monday-Saturday availability (8am-8pm)
- Opt-in Guaranteed Overtime - after your first month, you can choose to work extra rest days at £30 per hour. Just one extra day a month could earn you £3,000 more per year on top of your base salary. Two extra days could give you an extra £5,000.
