About The Role

Are you a detail-driven compliance professional with a passion for governance and customer outcomes? We\’re looking for a First Line Governance Manager to champion consumer duty compliance across our fast-paced Consumer Roadside division, ensuring all operations, products, and services meet FCA standards and provide fair value.

As our First Line Governance Manager, you\’ll be at the heart of our regulatory compliance efforts, driving Consumer Duty initiatives and embedding robust governance frameworks. You\’ll work cross-functionally with senior stakeholders to ensure our insurance products, pricing decisions, and customer journeys meet regulatory expectations and deliver exceptional outcomes.

This is a hybrid role, working 2 days a week from our Bradley Stoke office and 3 days a week at home.

What you\’ll do…

  • Lead governance approval forums: chair meetings, document minutes, challenge proposals, and ensure follow-up actions.
  • Drive first-line compliance with Consumer Duty, supporting BAU activities and projects.
  • Collaborate across teams to embed accountability and transparency.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews on customer outcomes and business impact.
  • Develop training and awareness materials on compliance standards.
  • Maintain records of governance decisions and outcomes.

  • Experience in governance, compliance, or risk roles within Financial Services.
  • Understanding of FCA\’s Consumer Duty expectations and implementation.
  • Knowledge of personal lines insurance products and trading models.
  • Strong communication skills to influence and collaborate.
  • Highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working at pace.
