RAC has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our Consumer Roadside FP&A team. This role offers the chance to take ownership across financial reporting and business partnering, supporting performance across one of RAC's largest and most commercially important areas. This is a broad, hands‑on role operating in a fast‑paced and demanding environment where you'll be expected to get up to speed quickly and deliver high-quality, insightful financial output. Sitting at the heart of the business, you'll work closely with stakeholders across finance, pricing, and account management to drive performance and support decision-making. What You’ll Do

  • Financial Reporting & Control
    • Deliver accurate and timely month‑end reporting, including full P&L and balance sheet ownership
    • Manage accruals, prepayments, and key balance sheet reconciliations
    • Ensure strong financial controls and governance are in place and consistently followed
    • Support audit readiness and maintain high standards of financial integrity
  • Planning, Analysis & Insight
    • Provide clear, actionable analysis across revenue, costs, and key performance drivers
    • Support budgeting and reforecasting processes
    • Translate financial data into insights that are easy to understand and act upon
    • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support performance improvement
  • Business Partnering & Collaboration
    • Partner with teams across finance, pricing, and account management
    • Build strong working relationships across the Consumer Roadside business
    • Support stakeholders in understanding performance and making informed decisions
    • Contribute to wider commercial discussions and initiatives
  • Process Improvement & Delivery
    • Identify and implement improvements to processes and reporting outputs
    • Ensure actions are followed through and delivered to a high standard
    • Bring a proactive approach to improving efficiency and clarity in financial reporting
    • Operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment with multiple priorities

What You’ll Bring

  • Skills, Knowledge & Experience
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
    • Ideally recently qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
    • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret data effectively
    • Experience working in a fast‑paced or operationally complex environment
    • Ability to quickly get up to speed and take ownership of new areas
    • Strong problem‑solving capability with attention to detail and accuracy

Location | Working Pattern | Salary

This role follows a hybrid model, with required office attendance in our Bradley Stoke, Bristol office 2 days per week. Salary aligned with market and experience.
