The Bond Syndication Manager role is based in the heart of the city of London reporting to the Head of Debt Capital Markets (DCM) Syndicate and is organisationally positioned within our Global Capital Markets division. We are seeking a motivated, strategic and forward-thinking professional with strong expertise in financial and capital markets, risk, and pricing. Broader experience in ESG, financial credit, hybrid capital, and LM is highly valued to strengthen our integrated offering across both private and public-side clients. The team delivers best-in-class client financing advice, execution, and distribution of debt securities. It is responsible for pricing and executing all public market bond mandates. The desk operates between DCM, issuers, and end investors in new issues via Sales. This front-line role offers direct exposure to clients and transactions and tailored support to deepen syndicate-specific skills.
The successful individual will lead strategic initiatives within our Capital Markets Team and will drive the implementation of global objectives while ensuring full compliance with UK and EU regulations. This role involves overseeing operational controls, establishing effective governance frameworks, and guiding annual assessments of Fitness & Propriety across the team. The Bond Syndication Manager will stay at the forefront of Eurobond market developments, deliver pricing insights in Financial sectors, with wider sector exposure, and maintain high-level client relationships by providing clear, fair, and expert advice. As a key partner in origination and execution, the Bond Syndication Manager will manage transactions end-to-end, contribute underwriting insights to senior leadership, and collaborate closely with Sales to align with investor sentiment—all while ensuring the smooth running of the desk and supporting business growth.
The Markets division is the organisational umbrella housing all of Rabobank's financial markets related activities. Its core activities include money markets; FX trading; credit trading; commodity derivatives; interest rate and FX options; corporate and FI sales; and Capital Markets. Its main purpose is to provide professional financial services to enable the Bank's clients to achieve their financial aims.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong expertise in FI Sector, Market Risk, Risk Management, and Regulatory Policy
- In-depth knowledge of fixed income markets and financial products & financial sector
- Experience in Bond Syndication (preferred)
- Proven track record in Origination & Trading environments
- ESG, Credit, Financial Institutions, and hybrid structuring experience (preferred)
- Effective communication across matrix organisations
- Strong IT proficiency and risk management application
- Awareness of compliance developments relevant to Bond Syndicate
- Familiarity with internal Markets products and businesses
- Proficient in Word, Bloomberg, Excel, Outlook; coding skills beneficial.
