Rabble Games CIC mixes high-intensity interval training with fun and social team games! Inspired by playground classics like British Bulldog, Capture the Flag and Dodgeball, we've transformed workouts into fun games for everyone. We play a bunch of different games at each session - each game disguises high-intensity intervals within the rules giving you an effective all-body workout, without even realising it. Best of all, Rabble is a social, inclusive, friendly community - making fitness so much fun, you don’t even realise you’re working out.
Rabble is not a Limited Company - it’s a Community Interest Company, which means we are not-for-profit, run by the community, for the community. We’ve been featured on BBC The One Show, and Channel 5, amongst other media outlets.
We’re looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and reliable Fitness Instructor to join our growing teams in Cambridge and London. As Rabble Instructor, you’ll play a crucial role in creating a positive and engaging fitness experience for our members!
What you’ll do as an instructor at Rabble:
- Lead and instruct group fitness sessions based on our unique game-oriented approach (which you’ll be trained in).
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that motivates participants to achieve their fitness goals.
- Provide personalised guidance and support to participants during workouts.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of participants by adhering to health & safety best practices and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Rabble Team to develop new and innovative fitness games and challenges.
- Be an active part of our community, including attending social events - and organising them if you’re interested in doing that too.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with and instruct diverse groups of participants.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire players.
- A passion for making fitness enjoyable, with lots of integrity and reliability thrown in.
- Availability to lead classes on a flexible part-time schedule, including evenings and weekends. Ideally we’re looking for someone who can commit to running at least one session per week in Cambridge.
While not required, it’s an added bonus if you have:
- Proven experience in leading group fitness classes and creating engaging workout routines.
- First-aid training (we will pay for your training if you don’t have this).
At Rabble, we believe in hiring smart, passionate, reliable people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this!
FAQs
- Do I need any fitness instructor experience or qualifications? Nope! We provide you with training and teach you all you need to know to be able to run your own Rabble sessions. You will be taught everything you need from varying the intensity of games, to accommodating for different players.
- How much will I get paid? The pay is on a scale based on how many people are coming to your sessions. This starts at £25 per session and rises up to £60 with a full class.
- Will I be able to run sessions while having a full-time job? Definitely! Rabble sessions run evenings and weekends. Many of our current instructors have full-time jobs and run Rabble sessions to earn some extra money while having fun!
- Do I need to be first-aid trained? In order to run our sessions, you will need to be first-aid trained. If you do not have this already, you will be invited to attend first-aid training as part of your training with Rabble (and we will cover the cost).
How to Apply
Send your CV and any relevant certifications to [email]. Please also include a brief statement / cover letter on why you believe Rabble's fitness philosophy aligns with your approach - and why you’d be a great candidate for this role.
The interview process:
- We endeavour to respond to everyone who applies. Successful candidates will then:
- Be invited to play a game of Rabble with us, either in London or Cambridge.
- After the Rabble session, we’ll talk to you in-person over a coffee/drink.
- If we both think it’s the right fit, we’ll start your training process.
