Your role

You know those road trips where you're driving through a spectacular landscape, on the way to somewhere fabulous, and you've just had a thrilling conversation with the person sitting next to you - about life, history, passions. That could be your every day - by becoming a Rabbie's Driver-Guide leading small-group mini-coach tours throughout the UK. You're not just there to drive in silence - you're there to make their day memorable with that story you love about your favourite historical figure or a quirky local festival. You share the secrets of the places you're visiting and divulge the tricks to make their day easier. You play music they'll come to love and take photos they'll treasure for a lifetime. You're just as much a part of their experience and their holiday, and they are part of your adventures too. You become their guide and storyteller, sharing the pride of the UK’s landscapes, history, and culture. And the best thing is that no day is the same as you keep meeting people from all over the world and you explore the forever-changing landscapes.

Your working schedule

  • Full time - 100% (average 5 days per week)
  • Part time - 80% (average 4 days per week)
  • Part time - 60% (average 3 days per week)

Your responsibilities

  • Drive top of the range mini-coaches with due care and attention at all times for the comfort and safety of passengers (training provided)
  • Demonstrate an appetite and enthusiasm for learning to continually develop a wide-ranging cultural, historical and social knowledge
  • Complete daily vehicle safety checks and legal documentation (training provided)
  • Embrace our environmental and sustainable tourism practices
  • Collaborate effectively with team members by actively communicating issues, sharing insights, exchanging and integrating constructive feedback to continuously improve the quality of the tours
  • Demonstrate pride and passion in upholding Rabbie’s cultural values, ensuring that quality and high standards are being met throughout our tours

Your skills, experience & qualifications

Essential

  • In order to work as a Driver-Guide you must have held a UK driving license for a minimum of 2 years. A category D or D1 class driving license
  • Driving experience (mini-coach driver training provided)
  • Experience providing high standards of customer service
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative and problem-solving skills to provide a seamless service
  • An ability to communicate/interact respectfully and understandingly with a diverse range of clientele from all over the world
