Join a team that's changing the way the UK approaches structural engineering. At RCS, we specialise in solving complex structural challenges that others avoid. Our vision is to be the team the UK trusts with the problems others avoid — solving complex infrastructure challenges at pace, challenging the industry's default answers, and keeping the country working.
Working across some of the UK's highest-profile public and private sector organisations, we combine engineering expertise with practical delivery to provide evidence-led solutions from initial investigation through to remediation. We're growing rapidly, with an exciting pipeline of projects nationwide. Our innovative approach has already been recognised this year through four industry award shortlistings, and we're looking for talented engineers who want to be part of something different.
If you enjoy solving real engineering problems, working on site as well as in the office, and seeing your designs delivered in practice, we'd love to hear from you.

Essential skills and experience
- Good understanding of structural engineering principles, building materials and structural behaviour
- Ability to apply Eurocodes to justify existing structures and develop remedial designs
- Knowledge and understanding of RAAC structural performance and current technical guidance
- Ability to research new engineering methods and materials, demonstrating independent learning
- Strong engineering judgement with the ability to assess realistic deterioration and failure mechanisms
- Practical mindset with the ability to translate engineering designs into real-world construction solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel nationally to undertake structural surveys and site investigations
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable skills and experience
- Experience undertaking structural surveys and developing remedial design solutions across a variety of building types
- Strong report writing and presentation skills with excellent attention to detail
- Drawing and drafting experience (AutoCAD or similar)
- Working towards Chartership with ICE or IStructE
- Degree educated with accredited engineering course
- Ideally around four years' structural engineering experience, with exposure to a broad range of projects
What we offer
