We are looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our Café & Hospitality team. Working alongside the Head Chef, you will help manage daily kitchen operations, oversee staff, ensure high-quality food production, and maintain kitchen efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence
  • Guide and support junior kitchen staff with cooking, food prep, and plating
  • Oversee kitchen stock, ensuring efficient ordering and inventory management
  • Maintain a first-in, first-out food rotation system for quality control
  • Keep cooking stations stocked, especially during peak hours
  • Assist in training new kitchen employees to maintain high standards
  • Minimise waste and manage food costs while maintaining quality
  • Supervise food preparation and presentation for both café and hospitality services
  • Support the Head Chef with menu development and kitchen organisation
  • Ensure food storage meets hygiene and safety regulations
  • Work closely with the management team on supply ordering, budgeting, and staffing
