Location: National Tennis Centre, London

Salary: £15.65 per hour

Contract: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, 4-month contract (until end of September 2026), 5 over 7 days

We're currently on the lookout for an enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join us at the National Tennis Centre, located in Roehampton, on a fixed term contract until end of September 2026. Being the training ground for the all-stars of the tennis world, as well as being a site used in the lead up to the Wimbledon Championships, this venue really is a highly sought after place to work, offering a highly sought after working environment with very low staff turnover!

As a Chef De Partie at the National Tennis Centre, you will be working alongside the culinary team onsite to deliver a high standard of food across the retail café and events operation they have on site. You will be responsible for the production of high-quality food in our popular sporting venue. You must be a strong team player and be confident working in a busy kitchen. The food that is produced in the kitchen is of a high standard and is diverse. You will be joining us on a fixed term contract to work throughout our busy summer period, so would be ideal for those who are looking for full time work throughout the summer, or those who want a secure income whilst seeking a full time position.

Due to the nature of this role, it is essential that the successful candidate can start work on site from very early in the morning with no transport issues. Please note that this will be an essential requirement, along with some weekend work too.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present dishes to a high standard, following the guidance of the head chef, that follows all specification sheets.
  • Work across various sections and support kitchen operations
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver consistently outstanding service
  • Maintain and ensure that food is handled and stored at the correct temperatures always and to be in accordance with food handling and hygiene regulations.
  • Ensure that food wastage is recorded and correctly disposed of as well and ensuring that all work areas are kept clean and that all waste is recorded and disposed of correctly.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum of 1 year's previous experience as a Chef de Partie in a quality-focused kitchen
  • A passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and beautifully crafted dishes
  • Reliable, flexible, and committed to high standards
  • Team player with a positive, professional attitude
