What you'll be doing:

We're looking for an enthusiastic Casual Kitchen Porter to join our dedicated catering team at Twycross Zoo. As a Casual Kitchen Porter, you will contribute to a passionate and friendly team working in a fast-paced environment to maintain the kitchen areas to the highest levels of cleanliness. Purpose of the role:

  • Maintaining the cleanliness of all kitchens and associated working areas
  • Ensuring all pots, pans, utensils and crockery are cleaned to the highest standard
  • Deep cleaning fridges, ovens and storerooms to maintain sanitary and kitchen safety standards
  • Working with and taking direction from the chefs
  • Assisting with basic food preparation
  • Transporting food and equipment between the on-site kitchens and storage areas
  • Ensuring the correct use of all machinery and equipment
  • Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image
  • Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
  • Complying with Health & Safety regulations
