Our well established clients are seeking a bookkeeper to join a busy accountancy practice based in the city. You will be responsible for managing a client portfolio of bookkeeping and VAT returns, consisting of both sole trade and incorporated entities covering a wide range of industries.
- Bookkeeping on various software programs but predominantly Xero
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Responding to client queries
- Ensuring trial balances are complete in preparation for handing over to accounts department
- Registering and deregistering for VAT
At least 2 years' work experience in an accountancy practice, ideally studying or completed AAT Level 4. Bookkeeping software – Xero. VAT – experience of dealing with HMRC, knowledge of VAT schemes and some experience of VAT planning.
This role does not offer any sponsorship package, you must have full rights to work in the UK.
