Job Responsibilities
- The role is hands on and involves carrying out audit work (with help) from planning through to completion and the preparation of non-audit accounts given the client's computerised records.
- The role will include corporate and personal tax compliance and we are happy to train the candidate to deal with these aspects of the work.
- The candidate will be given a portfolio of clients with some clients in their sole charge.
- There is direct client contact and reporting will be to a manager/Associate Director.
- The portfolio is extremely varied and interesting as we do not specialise in any business sector.
- The clients range from being regulated (Investment Managers and Advisers) to high profile restaurants to travel companies and professional services (i.e. dentists, doctors, solicitors).
- Whilst most of our clients are SME/owner managed businesses, we have a number that are subsidiaries of large overseas groups.
Qualifications & Requirements
- The candidate will ideally be from a small to medium size practice and have at least 5 years' experience at a good quality UK practice.
- We use Iris software to generate our accounts and tax returns so experience with Iris would be beneficial.
- Ideally the candidate should be qualified but they must be prepared to actually do the work as opposed to reviewing the work of others.
- This role does not offer any sponsorship opportunities and you must have recent UK based practice experience to be considered.
