Position Overview:
RA Dalton Ltd are recruiting a Purchase Ledger Trainee to work in our fast-paced accounts department at Head Office. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised individual. A position in our Crook office may be considered. No experience is required.
Training and Development:
RA Dalton is committed to providing a comprehensive training program for our Purchase Ledger Trainee. You will have access to hands-on training and mentorship. We would like the successful candidate to enrol at college in September to complete a Level 2 Certificate in Accounting (AAT); however, this is not essential.
The Role:
- Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
- Checking invoices against purchase orders and goods received notes
- Raising queries as needed in a timely manner
- Maintaining up-to-date and accurate records within the accounting system
- Assisting with month-end processes
- Development and maintenance of Excel spreadsheets
- Use of Microsoft Outlook to manage e-mails
Requirements:
- 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English language and maths
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Eager to learn
Terms of Employment:
Permanent
Hours of work – age dependent: Monday – Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week
Salary: £16,640 – £26,437 starting salary, age dependent
Position will be at our Head Office: Burtree Ford, Cowshill, Bishop Auckland, DL13 1DB
