Position: Shift Maintenance Engineer

Location: Canary Wharf, East London – Corporate Office Environment

Salary: £45,000 – £46,000 per annum + Discretionary Annual Bonus + Overtime Opportunities

Shift Pattern: Continental Shifts (Days & Nights – 7:00 am to 7:00 pm & 7:00 pm to 7:00 am)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join a leading facilities management provider, covering a state-of-the-art corporate office building in the heart of Canary Wharf.

This is a key role carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance duties across building services systems. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the site remains operational and compliant at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform PPMs and reactive maintenance across electrical or mechanical building systems
  • Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and maintain site systems to high standards
  • Work as part of a close-knit shift team in a client-facing, professional environment
  • Monitor BMS systems and escalate issues as required
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and site standards
  • Support subcontractors and assist with site audits and inspections

What You’ll Need:

  • Electrically or mechanically qualified (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition (for electrical candidates)
  • Previous experience in a commercial FM environment (ideally critical or corporate)
  • Strong knowledge of building services systems and equipment
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a shift team
  • Good communication and organisational skills
