An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious International Business Executive / Manager / Lead to join a market-leading manufacturing business with strong UK foundations and significant international growth ambitions.

This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional who enjoys building long-term partnerships, opening new markets, and working strategically across Europe with distributors and OEMs. You'll play a key role in shaping and growing the company's international presence, working closely with senior leadership while operating with a high degree of autonomy.

The Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with the senior management team, you will take ownership of international business development. Your focus will be on identifying new market opportunities, onboarding international partners, and growing sustainable, profitable relationships—initially across Europe. From market research through to partner launch and ongoing relationship management, you'll lead the full lifecycle of international expansion activity.

What you’ll do:

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop new international distribution and OEM partnerships across Europe.
  • Carry out market research and competitor analysis to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Design and implement a structured, repeatable onboarding process for new international partners.
  • Lead partner onboarding from initial opportunity through to commercial launch.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective partners.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and monitor partner performance, recommending improvements where required.
  • Work collaboratively with senior stakeholders to ensure customer expectations are achievable and delivered.
  • Produce KPI dashboards and reports covering onboarding progress, market trends, and growth performance.
  • Represent the business at international trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
  • Support the introduction and adoption of CRM systems to enhance business development activity.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Proven experience in international business development, market analysis, or channel management.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable strategies.
  • Track record of building and implementing scalable business development processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating across multicultural teams.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint capability.
  • Full UK driving licence, valid passport, and flexibility to travel across Europe.
  • Fluency in English.

Desirable:

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Additional European language skills.
  • Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or automotive-related environments.
