Position: Junior Facilities Manager
Location: On–site Battersea
Salary: GBP45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am 5:00 pm

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Junior Facilities Manager to join a well–established facilities management team on–site at a prestigious facility in Battersea. This is an ideal role for someone looking to grow their facilities career while playing a key part in managing and supporting critical building systems.
Role Overview:
This office–based role involves supporting the day–to–day operational and compliance management of Mechanical, Electrical, and Life Safety (MEL) systems in communal landlord areas such as plant rooms, risers, corridors, and basement spaces. The successful candidate will coordinate with contractors, ensure statutory compliance, and assist with maintenance planning and procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate planned/reactive maintenance for landlord HVAC, pumps, and water systems
- Monitor water hygiene and ensure compliance with ACoP L8
- Maintain safety and cleanliness of plant rooms and risers
- Assist with testing and servicing of landlord power and lighting systems
- Respond to electrical issues in communal areas
- Maintain documentation and compliance records
- Organise testing and maintenance of fire alarms, smoke extraction, dry/wet risers
- Support fire risk assessment actions and remedial works
- Liaise with contractors for access control and CCTV maintenance
General FM Duties:
- Use CAFM to track and manage PPMs and reactive tasks
- Raise purchase orders and RFQs; evaluate quotes and liaise with suppliers
- Supervise contractor works, review RAMS, and issue permits as needed
- Support site audits, statutory compliance reporting, and health & safety tasks
Key Skills & Experience:
- Solid understanding of MEL systems in a residential/commercial setting
- Strong administrative and compliance background
- Familiarity with CAFM systems and technical service reports
- Clear communicator with excellent attention to detail
- Competency with Microsoft Office and procurement systems
