A prestigious FM service provider is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to join their on-site engineering team at a commercial static site in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a lead role within a professional environment offering excellent training, career progression, and overtime opportunities.

What you'll do:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance across electrical building services systems.
  • Perform fault finding and repairs on lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, control panels, distribution boards, and associated electrical plant.
  • Lead the day-to-day engineering activities on site, providing technical support while overseeing a small team of three engineers.
  • Allocate workloads, support the development of the engineering team, and ensure maintenance activities are completed to a high standard.
  • Ensure all maintenance works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with statutory compliance requirements.
  • Support minor electrical installation works, system upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and liaise with site management to ensure high standards of service delivery.

What you'll bring:

  • City & Guilds / NVQ in an Electrical discipline.
  • 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Experience within commercial building services or facilities maintenance.
  • Previous experience in a Lead Engineer, Supervisor, or Senior Engineer role with responsibility for supporting or managing a team.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding, organisational, and communication skills.
