Location: Downham Market, Norfolk
The Role: We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman to support an upcoming project in Downham Market, Norfolk. This is a temporary position for approximately 10 weeks, working closely alongside an experienced Site Manager on the refurbishment of derelict residential properties. You will be assisting with a range of general maintenance and second-fix tasks to help bring properties back up to standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with general property refurbishment works
- Door and cabinet adjustments
- Installing door stops and skirting
- Second-fix carpentry works
- Installing shelves, wall units, plinths, and window sills
- Basic lock replacements
- Installing trickle vents and coving
- Toilet pan installations
- Window adjustments
- Supporting the Site Manager with day-to-day tasks as required
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a handyman or multi-trade operative
- Basic carpentry and general maintenance skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small team
- Own tools preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and proactive
